Laurian Wright founded Fauna London (trading as Fauna & Friends) in 2020 to reimagine the pet lifestyle market. Noticing a gap where functionality and aesthetics rarely met, Laurian set out to create a brand that aligned with the values of modern pet owners those who care about good design, sustainability, and quality craftsmanship as much as their pets.

Where much of the pet industry leans into mass-produced, novelty-driven products, Fauna London has carved a unique space at the intersection of style, function, and ethics. 

Their goal? To make pet products that feel just as at home in a high-end design store as in a pet shop.

As a rapidly growing brand with strong early traction and a clear market identity, Fauna London was ready to take the next step: bringing their own branded product range to market and scaling operations to meet increasing demand. 

However, like many female-led businesses, access to growth capital remained a key barrier. 

Through Female Founder Finance, Laurian secured £50,000 in growth funding to fuel Fauna London’s next stage. 

This capital will enable the business to:

She has already employed 2 staff as a direct result of the funding.
