Sarah Nutt - Founder
In a recent webinar, our founder, Roxanne, participated in a discussion focused on the challenges that women-led businesses encounter when trying to access finance for growth. The session highlighted several key issues that female entrepreneurs face, and it concluded with a question and answer segment. This segment allowed the participants to voice any specific concerns they were experiencing in their business ventures.
Shortly after the webinar concluded, Roxanne received a LinkedIn message from one of the attendees. The message read, "I hope you don't mind me messaging you directly but I do have a question but I didn't want to ask in public."
Understanding the importance of privacy and personalized support, Roxanne responded promptly to reassure the attendee. She emphasized that reaching out directly was absolutely fine and encouraged. To provide more personalised assistance, Roxanne decided to give her a quick call.
After our initial discussion, we took the necessary steps to ensure Sarah had the financial support she needed. We requested our usual due diligence pack from her, which she promptly returned. Upon reviewing the information, we discovered a clause in her orders that restricted the use of a factoring facility.
Given this restriction, we explored alternative financial options. It became apparent that a loan would be a more suitable solution for Sarah. This would provide her with the necessary working capital and allow her to commit to fulfilling her order obligations without any interruptions.
To accommodate Sarah’s needs efficiently, we expedited the loan process. The funds were paid out the same day, ensuring she had immediate access to the working capital. This swift action allowed Sarah to proceed with confidence, knowing she had the financial backing required to meet her commitments.
By tailoring our financial support to suit Sarah's unique circumstances, we were able to provide a solution that was both effective and timely. This approach highlights our commitment to offering flexible financial solutions that cater to individual needs and challenges.
Remember no question is a silly question, if you don't know, you don't know. That's why we are here.
Women led businesses traditionally don't have the same access to knowledge and support services as male led businesses and networking opportunities are often not fit for purpose.
Roxanne added "I was delighted to be able to provide Sarah and her business with a small amount of working capital to help her on her growth journey. We pride ourselves on treating all our customers with the same level of care and support. small acorns can grow into mighty oaks wit the right care."
Sarah said: "I know it’s a small loan but you’re the only person so far who has been able to secure any funds for me and it’s truly very much appreciated as it lets me get on with running my business and trying to grow it!"
The experience underscored the critical role of direct communication and support in empowering women entrepreneurs.
